The map covers Los Santos, San Fierro, Las Venturas, and the desert between them. People play civilian jobs, policing, businesses, and the groups they start themselves.

SA:MP
The classic chapter.
San Andreas is the chapter after Argonath’s 2006 founding in Vice City, and the place the community became a population. The SA:MP server has been open since February 2007 and is kept as a legacy world. Families, houses, businesses, and court cases are still written down. The client is small, so an older PC is enough if you have a name and a reason to be in the state.

You can start on a Los Santos corner, a San Fierro hill, or the Las Venturas strip. The radio changes from city to city, and it is still the same community.
